Scleroderma

Scleroderma is a autoimmune disease (that is to say, the immune system destroys healthy tissues of the body), which is essentially characterized by the fact that the skin becomes hard and thick. It exists many type of scleroderma with varying degrees of severity. The less severe form of scleroderma that is called "localized scleroderma", it affects the skin with localized patches of hardening. In all type of localized scleroderma, hair disappears where there are patches of skin hardened. The plates may occur irregularly, and some can be found on the scalp then, we can note alopecia or hair loss.
